This Tamegroute salad bowl is a true work of handcrafted art, made according to the ancestral traditions of the Moroccan desert. Tamegroute, a clay soil typical of the region, is used to create unique pieces, fired in traditional kilns in the heart of the desert. Its characteristic green color comes from the leather oxide that coats the surface, a natural effect that develops during the firing process.
Each salad bowl is the result of meticulous work, giving it authentic irregularities that attest to its handcrafted nature. These small imperfections make each piece truly unique. You might notice three small triangular marks, left by the tripod on which the piece was placed during firing.
